Romances[]

Satine Kryze[]

Satine: "I've loved you from the moment you came to my aid all those years ago."
Obi-Wan: "Had you said the word, I would have left the Jedi Order."
―Satine Kryze and Obi-Wan Kenobi

During Mandalore's Civil War and his apprenticeship under Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan fell in love with the young Duchess Satine Kryze. The two lived on the run for over a year. Satine reciprocated his feelings as he saved her life from insurgents and bounty hunters. When Obi-Wan's mission ended, he chose to honor his obligations to the Jedi Order in accordance to the Jedi Code. However, he regretted leaving the Duchess alone to rebuild Mandalore.

Years later, during the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan and Satine still had feelings for each other, but found themselves on opposing sides. Satine had begun to advocate a course of neutrality for herself and 1,500 systems that wanted no part in the war. Meanwhile, Obi-Wan defended the use of military action to end the conflict with the Separatists, including a military presence on Mandalore to protect it from the Death Watch. As such, their inability to express their feelings led them to bicker relentlessly about their conflicting philosophies. Only when forced into action did their camaraderie return. When Satine was taken hostage by Senator Merrick, she confessed that she had always loved him. Obi-Wan, despite the situation, confessed that he too loved her and would have left the Jedi Order if she asked it of him. Despite their confessions, Obi-Wan and Satine continued with their responsibilities as peacekeepers.

When Maul resurfaced on Mandalore, Obi-Wan attempted to rescue her from him, but the pair were captured. Obi-Wan was forced to watch Maul choke Satine and ultimately kill her with the Darksaber. Obi-Wan mourned her, but refused to give in to his anger and desire to avenge her, only doing so out of peace and justice nearly twenty years later when he killed Maul.

Siri Tachi[]

A fellow Jedi, Siri Tachi trained at the Coruscant's Temple at the same time as Obi-Wan. Back then, Siri and Obi-Wan used to hold hands under the table during lunch despite attachments being forbidden for the Jedi. Years later, Obi-Wan mused that although the Jedi may have been exterminated, their dedication to posturing theatrics lived on in Yoda and that he needed just look back at moments with Siri to feel as though he had deserved a punishment for such acts from the Jedi Council.

Friends and Allies[]

Anakin Skywalker[]

You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them. Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in Darkness. You were my brother Anakin... I loved you!
―Obi-wan after defeating Anakin on Mustafar
Obi-Wan Kenobi/Relationships (1)

When Obi-Wan first met Anakin, he didn't think much of him due to how young he was despite having seen how high his midi-chlorian count was. Whereas the Jedi Council was against Anakin's training due to his age and internal conflict, Obi-Wan's reason for opposing it was mainly because he was secretly jealous of him. After Qui-Gon was killed, Obi-Wan took Anakin in as his apprentice to fulfill his mentor's dying wish. He often clashed with Anakin for his frequent disobedience, as well as his impulsive and prideful attitude. However, Obi-Wan secretly always defended Anakin at every turn and always found a way to make Anakin's mistakes his own. He was also the first to insist that Anakin be made a Jedi Knight.

At some point during the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan came to suspect that Anakin and Padmé Amidala were secretly having an affair. He was only partly correct, as it was unknown to him that the two were in fact married. He never revealed his suspicions to the Jedi council, proving just how loyal he truly was to Anakin. When Obi-Wan discovered that Padmé was pregnant, he quickly figured out that Anakin was the father of her unborn child, unknown to him (at the time) Padmé was in fact pregnant with twins.

When Anakin turned to the dark side and became Darth Vader, Obi-Wan was heartbroken and only resolved to fight Vader because Yoda ordered him to do it. During their duel on Mustafar, Obi-Wan kept trying find a trace of his former apprentice in the monster he had become, but it was in vain and he eventually accepted that Anakin was apparently gone. After Obi-Wan dismembered Vader and won the duel, he could not bring himself to murder his defenseless enemy in cold blood, and remorsefully left Vader to be consumed by the flames of Mustafar.

Ten years later, after taking Luke to Tatooine to keep him safe, Obi-Wan later learned from Reva Sevander that Vader was still alive and had been rebuilt as a cyborg. Obi-Wan was shocked and horrified, mainly because Vader was still alive, but also because of what his actions had resulted in his former friend becoming a cyborg, as Obi-Wan did not kill him when he had the chance to put Vader out of his misery. When they faced each other in battle for the second time, Obi-Wan was easily outmatched by his former apprentice's sharpened dueling skills and hatred due to his horror and guilt at not killing Vader being exacerbated by Vader's bitter accusations of being the man he was because Obi-Wan didn't kill him. Despite this, he was able to overcome both his injuries and his terror after a brief recovery from their duel, and managed to outsmart Vader first by manipulating his desire for victory and then luring him to a single combat. Obi-Wan resolved himself to do what he must against Vader despite Vader's somewhat justified hatred and bitterness and was finally able to match Vader with his strength returned. He eventually defeated him again by drawing upon his feelings of love and desire to be better for Luke and Leia and not fail Anakin's children like he failed their father. Obi-Wan was devastated and heartbroken to see just how far Vader had fallen because of him. He tried his best to apologize and turn him back, but Vader in his anger and bitterness rejected the chance and bitterly declared he would destroy Obi-Wan with a broken smile, causing Obi-Wan to finally see Vader as irredeemable.

Obi-Wan Kenobi/Relationships (2)

Nineteen years later, Obi-Wan told Luke that Vader betrayed and murdered Anakin, which was true from a certain point of view. Not long afterwards, Obi-Wan re-encountered Vader once more on board the first Death Star. Vader engaged his former mentor in a final lightsaber duel, expressing contempt for him due to his advanced age. However, even after years apart, both lightsaber duelists felt grief over their shattered friendship, but this did not prevent them from using the full extent of their lightsaber combat skills. When Obi-Wan left himself wide open, Vader cut him down, not knowing it was a ploy to distract Vader from capturing Luke Skywalker and his companions.

Even as a Force spirit, Obi-Wan continue to believe that Vader was irredeemable, and that there was no good left in him. However, this was disproved when Vader's son, Luke, was being tortured by Palpatine, and Vader broke away from the dark side, becoming the good person he once was. This proved that Obi-Wan was wrong, and that anyone had the chance to redeem themselves from the dark side.

Obi-Wan seems to have reconciled with Anakin as he appeared beside his old friend as a spirit while they watched Anakin's children celebrate their victory against the Empire together.

Yoda[]

Like all Jedi, Obi-Wan deeply respected Yoda and was trained by him as a young boy, prior to Obi-Wan becoming Qui-Gon Jinn's apprentice. He obeyed Yoda usually without question. When the Jedi Order fell, Yoda informed Obi-Wan that he had come into contact with his old master Qui-Gon and told him of the training to become one with the Force after death.

After Obi-Wan died, he entrusted Luke's training to Yoda.

Mace Windu[]

Like most Jedi, Obi-Wan held Mace in high esteem for his mastery of Form VII. Mace also held Obi-Wan in high esteem for his mastery of Form III. However, despite their mutual respect for each other, Obi-Wan often disagreed with Mace's questionable decisions. This is because Obi-Wan is a moderate who follows the Jedi Code while Mace is holds firmly to the teachings of the Jedi.

Qui-Gon Jinn[]

Obi-Wan Kenobi/Relationships (3)

Obi-Wan had a strong bond and friendship with his mentor Qui-Gon, whom he held in high esteem. However, they often clashed due to philosophical differences, as Obi-Wan was a more devoted follower of the Jedi Code and proponent of the Unifying Force. Qui-Gon, on the other hand, preferred to follow his conscience and the will of the Living Force, even if it meant disobeying the Jedi High Council. When Darth Maul killed Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan was devastated and vowed to honor his dying wish by training Anakin as a Jedi, even if the Jedi Council happened to disapprove of it.

During the Clone Wars, Obi Wan encountered his old friend on Mortis who warned him of the dangers the three individuals who think Anakin is the Chosen One. Although it had truly been Jinn who appeared before them, Kenobi came to believe, and told the Jedi Council, that the appearance of his old mentor was simply an illusion, one manifested from their memories by the beings on Mortis. Anakin, however, wasn't as confident, despite Jedi teachings saying that it was impossible for a being to retain their identity after death. The report about Mortis did not change these Jedi beliefs or teachings.

After Anakin turned to the dark side and became Darth Vader, Qui-Gon's spirit taught Obi-Wan the technique of retaining his identity through the Force (something Qui-Gon had himself learned from the Force Priestesses) a technique that enabled him to become a Force spirit after death.

Padmé Amidala[]

Obi-Wan first met Padmé shortly after the Invasion of Naboo started, when he and his mentor, Qui-Gon Jinn rescued her from the Trade Federation's battle droids. They did not have much interaction with each other. However, throughout the Clone Wars, the two became close friends.

At some point, during the Clone Wars, Obi-Wan came to suspect that Padmé and Anakin were secretly having an affair. He was only partly correct, as it was unknown to him that the two of them were in fact married. He never revealed his suspicions to the Jedi council, proving just how loyal he truly was to Padmé. When Obi-Wan discovered that Padmé was pregnant, he quickly figured out that Anakin was the father of her unborn child, but unknown to him at the time Padmé was pregnant with twins.

In Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan's friendship with Padmé became strained after Anakin told her of Obi-Wan's apparent intent to use him as a spy for his own purposes. Padmé did not believe Obi-Wan when he told her of husband's dark deeds, mainly because she was in denial and partly because of what Anakin told her. To reassure herself that what he had said was not true, she traveled to Mustafar to ask Anakin herself. Unknown to Padmé, Obi-Wan had stowed away on her Naboo star skiff, so he could find Vader and and kill him.

This proved to be fatal for Padmé as Anakin thought that she had betrayed him and force choked her to unconsciousness, making her lose her will to live. Obi-Wan was furious and horrified upon seeing such an act and immediately demanded Anakin to let Padmé go, displaying that despite Padmé's initial refusal to believe him, the strain put on their friendship by Anakin was on Padmé's part and not Obi-Wan's, and he still cared deeply for her as a friend.

After defeating and leaving Vader for dead, Obi-Wan immediately did everything he could to save Padmé and provide her comfort, even lying that he had not killed Vader despite by that time believing Vader was most likely dead, and reminding of her children and that they need her but all of Obi-Wan's attempts was futile and she died despite this.

Obi-Wan was saddened by Padmé's death, it's safe to assume that he feels guilt, shame and remorse for her death, as he was the one who technically made Vader kill her. Obi-Wan also displayed his respect of Padmé by not telling Luke about Padmé when he asked about his mother, knowing that Padmé would not want her son to known the true extent of the tragic relationship between Vader and her.

Before Padmé's death, she told Obi-Wan that there is still good left in Anakin and that one day he can be redeemed. Although Obi-Wan was just as heartbroken as she was about Anakin's transformation, he could not bring himself to believe her. It was Obi-Wan's respect for Padmé that made him decide to watch over and protect her son, Luke, and later describe her to her daughter Leia. Part of the reason Obi-Wan overcame Vader, was through sheer determination not fail Luke and Leia like he did their mother.

Ahsoka Tano[]

Obi-Wan Kenobi/Relationships (4)

Obi-Wan first met Ahsoka during the Battle of Christophis. At first, Obi-Wan thought Ahsoka was going to be his apprentice until Ahsoka revealed that she was assigned to be Anakin's apprentice. Later, Obi-Wan told Anakin off for being so harsh with her and told him to cut her some slack. Over the years, Obi-Wan's trust in her grew.

When Ahsoka was accused of treason, Obi-Wan was one of the extreme few that were doubtful she had committed the crimes. When Wilhuff Tarkin demanded that Ahsoka be expelled from the Jedi Order and turned over to the Republic military courts, Obi-Wan tried to convince his fellow Council members to refuse and stand by Ahsoka, due to seeing that there was no real proof of her so-called treason. Unfortunately, Obi-Wan was out-voted, and Ahsoka was cast out of the Jedi Order. Although Obi-Wan didn't agree with the Council's decision, he did nothing to help clear Ahsoka's name. When Barriss Offee was exposed as the true culprit, Obi-Wan didn't seem surprised that Ahsoka was innocent and was saddened when she left the Jedi Order for good.

But Obi-Wan refused to truly acknowledge that the council were at least partly responsible for Ahsoka leaving the Jedi Order in the first place, incorrectly believing that Ahsoka had let emotion cloud her judgment, something against the Jedi way. This shows that he refused to see the members of the Jedi Council's flaws and unjustified actions, even when there was evidence to prove so.

Obi-Wan would meet Ahsoka again when she would come to get the Republic's support in laying a siege on Mandalore and before Obi-Wan went off to rescue Chancellor Palpatine from Count Dooku and General Grievous. Obi-Wan advised Ahsoka to capture Maul, saying he was hard to kill and the two exchanged proper good-byes.

However, Ahsoka was quite cold towards Obi-Wan, criticizing him for willingly allowing himself to get involved into politics and stating that this is one of the reasons why the people of the Republic have lost fate in the Jedi Order, and this was also one of the reasons why she left the order in the first place. Obi-Wan was hurt by this statement of Ahsoka's.

During the Siege of Mandalore, Obi-Wan was contacted by Ahsoka, Rex, and Bo-Katan Kryze who informed him of their progress in retaking the planet.

Obi-Wan could not send more troops to aid Ahsoka and told her, in private, that the Jedi Council had Anakin spy on Chancellor Palpatine after the Senate allowed to remain in office after his term has been expired. Ahsoka was agitated by the Council having Anakin spy on his friend, which Obi-Wan agreed that the Council is not always right, and asks Ahsoka to tell Anakin of it. This implies that after their last conversation, Obi-Wan had finally come to reluctantly accept the truth that Ahsoka did not leave the Jedi Order because she had let emotion cloud her judgment, she left because the council were at least partly responsible, as they never believed in her innocence.

Before Ahsoka could react, she is called away into battle, and asks Obi-Wan to tell Anakin about the Council himself, which Obi-Wan promises to do. This would be the last time that Obi-Wan saw Ahsoka, before he was killed by Darth Vader.

Hondo Ohnaka[]

Hondo held Obi-Wan, along with Anakin and Dooku hostage. But after they freed themselves, they left Hondo's base with no intention for revenge, which Hondo respected. Three years later after Darth Maul returned, Hondo helped Obi-Wan fight Maul and his brother, Savage Opress. Hondo seemed to respect Obi-Wan greatly, this was proven by how he fondly reminisced about the great Jedi Master to Ezra Bridger.

Luke Skywalker[]

Remember...the Force will be with you, always.
―Obi-Wan to Luke

After Luke was born, Obi-Wan took him to Tatooine, to be raised by his father's step-brother Owen Lars, and his wife, Beru Whitesun Lars, in order to protect him from Palpatine. Obi-Wan watched over him for nineteen years, but could not visit him as Owen, who blamed Obi-Wan for Anakin's supposed death, drove him away as he wanted to protect Luke from becoming a Jedi and suffering the same fate as his father. Before discovering Obi Wan's true identity, Luke, primarily because of his adoptive uncle's description of Obi-Wan believed him to be a strange hermit, under the name of "Ben Kenobi".

However, after stopping Reva Sevander from killing Luke and the Lars family, Obi-Wan, after Owen granted him permission because the former agreed with Owen's sentiment to let Luke live as a normal boy and let the future take care of itself, eventually met Luke for the first time.

Upon the arrival of R2-D2 and C-3PO, Luke learned of Obi-Wan's former identity and life as a Jedi. After this knowledge, he gained great respect and admiration for the Jedi Master. During their journey to Alderaan, the two quickly became good friends. On the first Death Star, Obi-Wan was killed by Darth Vader while attempting to escape. Luke was devastated by the death of his mentor, but continued to fight in the Galactic Civil War, so that Obi-Wan's death would not be in vain.

When Luke discovered that Vader was his father, he became angry that Obi-Wan had lied to him, but eventually forgave him after learning that Obi-Wan lied to protect him from suffering a horrible fate similar to of his father's.

However, after he became embittered over his nephew Ben's fall to the dark side, Luke appeared to have regained some of his bitterness at Obi-Wan for failing to save his father, as seen by how he told Rey that he believed that Obi-Wan's failure as a mentor to Anakin and the latter’s subsequent transformation into Darth Vader, was one of the proof of the Jedi Order's hypocrisy. Despite this, after he made peace with his failures, hearing Obi-Wan's voice allowed him to become one with the Force while also retaining his identity, proving he still considered his mentor as a dear friend, and the two reconcile.

Leia Organa[]

Obi-Wan Kenobi met Leia when she was kidnapped by mercenaries hired by Reva Sevander, who was hunting for the Jedi Master himself. After Kenobi rescued her, Leia was wary to trust the Jedi Master and her distrust of him grew when she realized she was kidnapped so her captor could lure Kenobi out of hiding. However, after Kenobi saves her by using the Force to stop her from jumping off a building, Leia began to trust him. While on the run from the Inquisitorius, though Kenobi was annoyed with the girl's stubbornness, Kenobi began to bond with Leia while she eagerly listened to him compare her to her birth parents.

When Leia was captured by Reva Sevander, Kenobi sought out to rescue her where he managed to save her just in time from being tortured by Reva's stormtroopers. After escaping from the Inquistors' base on Nur, Kenobi and Leia took refuge at the Path's base on Jabiim where they were followed by Reva and Darth Vader. When Leia volunteered to get into the vents of the base to open the sealed hangar door, Kenobi allowed her do the job while asking one of the Path's members, Haja to keep an eye on her while he distracted the Empire. While still being pursued by Vader and his forces, Leia was upset to hear Kenobi planned to draw the Empire's attention away from the Path, but she reluctantly accepts his decision. Kenobi instructed Leia to tell her father about his efforts to rescue her before giving her the late Tala Durith's empty gun holster as a parting present. The two embraced, with Leia telling Kenobi to come back, something which Kenobi was not sure he would be able to do.

After Kenobi saved the Path, along with Leia reuniting with her adoptive parents, the two met up on Alderaan where they shared a warm embrace. After reassuring her adoptive father that he can always count on him against the growing Empire, Kenobi told Leia that she was wise, discerning, and kindhearted, which he described as qualities from her mother. He also described Leia as passionate, fearless, and forthright, which he attributes to her father. He even told Leia that her parents were exceptional people who bore an exceptional daughter and apologized to her as he could not reveal more about them. Leia accepted his apology as she did not need to know more about her birth parents as she had her adoptive parents who loved and cared for her. Before Kenobi departed, Leia asked if she'll see him again which Kenobi replied she will when she needed his help one day.

Years later Leia would call upon Obi-Wan’s help to save the galaxy once again, by bringing up how he helped her adoptive father in the latter’s struggle against the Empire. However, she would not be able see him again as he was killed in a duel against Darth Vader.

Acquaintances[]

Owen Lars[]

Obi-Wan first met Owen when he came to Tatooine with the infant Luke Skywalker. He tasked Owen, along with his wife, Beru, to protect Luke. Obi-Wan lied about Anakin Skywalker's circumstances, as he had said that Anakin had died in the Clone Wars when Anakin had actually turned to the dark side, betraying the Jedi Order and adopting the persona of Darth Vader. Devastated by his step-brother's supposed death, Owen blamed Obi-Wan for what had happened to Anakin, believing he had brainwashed him into joining the Jedi Order and had failed to protect him.

Owen felt that Obi-Wan was personally responsible for the deaths of Shmi and Anakin, and that the Jedi Master's actions torn his family apart.

Since then, Owen had been cold and hostile towards Obi-Wan. He never welcomed Obi-Wan at his homestead and, forbidding him from visiting for fearing that the Jedi Master would get Luke killed as Anakin apparently was. Yet, Owen did manage to develop a level of respect for Obi-Wan after he helped save Luke from Reva Sevander where he allowed the Jedi to meet his nephew, knowing Obi-Wan did care about the boy. Sadly, the relationship between the two never improved, even prior to Owen's death.

Beru Whitesun Lars[]

Obi-Wan first met Beru when he came to Tatooine with an infant Luke Skywalker. He tasked Beru, along with her husband, Owen, to protect Luke, telling the lie that Anakin Skywalker had been killed in the Clone Wars.

Unlike Owen, Beru was never hostile or cold towards Obi-Wan. After the Jedi Master saved Luke's life from a Krayt Dragon, Beru felt grateful towards him for saving her nephew's life. Beru quietly disliked when Owen raged against Luke's Jedi protector, but she did not stop him.

Kanan Jarrus[]

Kanan had a Jedi Holocron that contained Obi-Wan's message regarding the fall of the the Republic, and that the surviving Jedi must go into hiding until the time was right for them to come out of exile. It is unknown if the two had met or knew each other. Like many of the surviving Jedi, Kanan believed Obi-Wan was killed in the Jedi Purge, due to the fact that the surviving Jedi were unable to contact each other, as they have gone into hiding.

In "Visions and Voices", Ezra Bridger learned via a Nightsister ritual, that the means to defeat the Sith was "Obi-Wan Kenobi". Kanan was surprised to find out that Obi-Wan was still alive, and referred to him as "Master Kenobi", implying that Kanan only knew the latter via his reputation.

Ezra Bridger[]

When Ezra was briefly the Galactic Empire's prisoner, he opened Kanan Jarrus' Jedi Holocron that contained Obi-Wan's message regarding the fall of the Republic, and that the surviving Jedi must go into hiding until the time was right for them to come out of exile. Ezra had not yet meet Obi-Wan at the time. It is unknown if he had learned via Kanan about the Obi-Wan's reputation and status. In "Visions and Voices", Ezra learned through a Nightsister ritual, that the means to defeat the Sith lay with "Obi-Wan Kenobi".

Obi-Wan somehow knew of Ezra as well before meeting him. Upon being told of Maul hunting him by the younger Jedi, Obi-Wan stated to him that Maul was not Ezra's responsibility, and that he should return to where he was needed most. Ezra eventually did as Obi-Wan said, showing that despite their brief meeting, he respected Obi-Wan greatly.

Enemies[]

Darth Maul[]

Obi-Wan Kenobi/Relationships (5)

Obi-Wan and Maul had been enemies since the Invasion of Naboo. When Maul killed Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan picked up when he left off and defeated him. Unknown to Obi-Wan, Maul survived the injuries Obi-Wan had inflicted on him. Decades later, after several attempts to obtain revenge against the Jedi Master, he eventually killed the woman Obi-Wan loved, Satine Kryze, before his eyes to cause him pain.

When Maul tracked Obi-Wan to Tatooine, they dueled one last time, with Maul falling to Obi-Wan's blade once and for all. In his final moments, Maul begged Obi-Wan to know if he was indeed guarding the chosen. When Kenobi confirmed this, the former sith took a modicum of comfort in knowing that he, Kenobi, and all that had suffered at Sidious' hands would be avenged. Although Maul and Obi-Wan had been enemies for the longest time, and despite the fact that he was responsible for the deaths of Qui-Gon and Satine, Obi-Wan held no hate for his enemy after killing him, and closed his foe's eyes when he died out of respect.

Count Dooku/Darth Tyranus[]

Obi-Wan initially respected Dooku for training his beloved mentor Qui-Gon. This came to an end after seeing with his own eyes that he had become a Sith Lord. When Dooku revealed to him the existence of Darth Sidious and that the Dark Lord of the Sith had hundreds of Senators under his control, Obi-Wan didn't believe a word of it, stating the Jedi would've sensed it. Obi-Wan also refused to join Dooku when the latter offered him the chance to help destroy the Sith. However, as the Clone Wars dragged on, Obi-Wan began to suspect that Dooku was telling the truth. He later learned from the Pikes Syndicate that he was the man called Tyranus that Jango Fett told him about and realized that his Sith name is Darth Tyranus.

Sheev Palpatine/Darth Sidious[]

Unlike most people such as Anakin, Obi-Wan was unimpressed with Palpatine and was the first person who saw what he really was due to seeing him as another politician. When Dooku revealed to him the existence of Darth Sidious and that the Dark Lord of the Sith had hundreds of Senators under his control, Obi-Wan didn't believe a word of it, stating the Jedi would've sensed it. However, as the Clone War dragged on, Obi-Wan began to suspect that Dooku was telling the truth.

After the Invasion of Coruscant, Mace Windu revealed that Darth Sidious was traced to 500 Republica, the residence of the officials of the Republic Government. Obi-Wan realized that Dooku was indeed telling the truth and later warned Anakin to be careful around Palpatine. After the Execution of Order 66 and the Declaration of a New Order, Obi-Wan learned that the now Emperor Palpatine and Darth Sidious were one and the same, and resolved to kill him, though Yoda instead made him confront Vader as Yoda himself went to fight Sidious. Obi-Wan would live the rest of his life with the horror that the Jedi Order had been too blind to stop Palpatine before it was too late.

Wilhuff Tarkin[]

Obi-Wan and Tarkin work together very well during the Clone Wars. However, unlike Anakin Skywalker, Tarkin appeared to have virtually no respect for Obi-Wan.

Despite the fact he fought alongside Obi-Wan in the Clone Wars, Tarkin arrogantly underestimated his former ally, believing the latter was killed in the Jedi Purge.
