1. The Great Pumpkin Beer Festival

This 21+ event is a fun way to start spooky season this October! The Great Pumpkin Beer Festival will be held at Seattle Center on October 4th and 5th, 2024 from 4 PM to 10 PM and tickets are on sale now. In addition to all the yummy seasonal beer there will be a costume contest, food trucks, music, and more.

2. Enjoy a haunted musical evening at a Candlelight Concert
Experience Halloween in a memorable way at a haunting evening of music. A string quartet will perform classic spooky songs, from the Psycho theme to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Each concert takes place in a stunning Seattle venue lit up with hundreds of candles for a moody ambience. 3. Attend a witches tea

Another spooky event this October at the haunted Hotel Sorrento in Seattle is Witches Tea on October 5, 12, 19, and 26 at 2:30 pm. All ages are invited to come in costume for “an ethereal tea service” in the Fireside Room.

4. Trick or Drink Seattle Halloween Bar Crawl
Excited to paint the town red on Halloween weekend? Get out there with your friends and see the best bars that Seattle has to offer with this Halloween bar crawl! There are three available dates: October 25, 26, and 31. Costumes aren’t required but highly encouraged. Get your tickets for this popular Halloween bar crawl before it sells out!

5. Walk through a haunted house or maze

6. Sip magical afternoon tea
Cafe Flora and The Flora Bakehouse are collaborating on a deliciously magical Halloween afternoon tea including a tower of house-made Halloween pastries, savory tea sandwitches, a selection of gourmet teas, magic potions, and a host of other wicked treats. In addition to the classic Halloween Tea menu, they will also have a dedicated vegan and gluten free tea menu and a children’s tea menu. The tea will take place at Cafe Flora in Madison Valley. The price is $55 per adult and $25 per child. Reservations are open now at this website.

7. Attend a Halloween Black and White Soiree

Inspired by Truman Capote’s iconic 1966 Black and White Ball, the event will take place in W Bellevue’s indoor/outdoor Living Room Bar space onSaturday, October 26. The event will feature mesmerizing performances, live music, specialty cocktails and appetizers. It will be the Eastside’s most elevated Halloween affair with a formal dress code. Guests are asked to arrive in their finest tuxedo or gown with an added a touch of the eerie and enigmatic—think elegant yet hauntingly stylish. Tickets are $60 and can be purchased here.

8. Catch a scary movie

9. See a spooky live performance

From spooky cabaret shows to witchy drag queen performances, Seattle has lots of festive live entertainment this October. Below are some of the best live shows in Seattle that you can enjoy for Halloween throughout this season:

10. Get dressed up for a Halloween dance party

11. Do the zombie shuffle in a Halloween race

If you’d like to get active this Halloween, throw on your costume and join the hordes for a fun race. Below are two Halloween-themed runs in Seattle this month:
- Trick or Treat 5k at Green Lake Park on October 27
- Run Scared 5k & 10k at Seward Park at Brooks Trailhead on October 27
12. Learn and perform the Thriller dance

Whether you know every dance move or want to learn, now is your chance to do the Thriller dance! All ages are welcome and it’s free to join. Optional rehearsals lead up to this year’s Thrill the World performance on October 26 at the Queen Anne Playfield.

13. Attend a Halloween music festival

If you love live music, dancing, and Halloween you can’t miss out on the Boo! Seattle music festival at the WAMU Theater on October 25 and 26. There will be three stages, art installations, and more spooky fun.

14. Visit the Practical Magic town

15. Día de Muertos Festival Seattle
The annual Día de Muertos Festival at Seattle Center is on October 26-27this year. This event is free and open to all ages.

16. A haunted hotel rooftop party
King Street Ballroom & Perch in downtown Seattle is hosting a rooftop costume party for Halloween on October 26. Tickets start at $25 (plus fees) and are on sale online now. There will be DJs, drinks, and dancing. Note that this is a 21+ event.

17. Experience a true fright at the Georgetown Morgue

Did you know that the Georgetown Morgue is allegedly the site of one Seattle’s most disturbing unsolved crimes? This haunted experience was ranked as one of the country’s top 13 most haunted houses and we’re not surprised. It opens for the 2024 season in September and runs through November 2.
